Rough Job desctiptions of Webmaster & Sales person:

WEB MASTER

The WCOCA web master is paid a flat $3,000 per year regardless of how much work we send him. That $3k covers all costs, his time, outside services, server etcetera, there are no extra charges. For this, Laurent is responsible for all updates, changes, research & creation of new ideas and contacting members for additional info where necessary. These include putting up new members, changing their info when they request, fettling up images for art and other events. He also fixes booth computer when necessary and comes to meetings such as membership meetings to demonstrate mini s ites and other web possibilities when requested.

Travel Guide sales:

The process begins by preparing letters to last years advertisers and cold call letters, about 300 in all. The letters to last years advertisers have a copy of their prior ad pasted to the letter along with any special notes that Pat may think will help the sale. Results from these letters is about 30%. Next begins the calls to potential advertisers, this nets around another 30%. The remaining third of sales are all hard sell requiring several or more calls, visits and other personal attention.

Then comes the adding of flller art & verbage, design tweaking and then the many step proofing process.

Last is making sure all of above is done on time so we don't miss our printing deadline and wind up with a Travel Guide that comes out in August. (Don't laugh, this happened many years back).

Other responsibilities:
- Making collections
- Art direction
- Proofing
