Sign ideas for Rock City Road at Tinker Street

Here shingles are shown on right attached to existing Route 33 sign pole. Also a sign for Colony has been manipulated in to show how this would help attract people down that way.

Below. opposite Pizza Building porch, is a stack of shingles listing
various business up Rock City Road. Sign is on back side of pre-existing
Gridlock sign thus eliminating the need to add clutter of one more pole.
Additional items that people may want on direction sign: Dance studio, KTD, Andy Lee Field, Photosensualis....

Manipulated photo below shows both what many might consider a good idea of consolidating some existing sign clutter all onto one low 'National Park' type sign. Also shows the impracticality of trying to put the frequently requested direction signs to all the business & organizations up Rock City Road. (Just too many).

Historic sign is lower and angled for easy reading of pedestrians yet not so as to distract drivers.

Stop Sign pole moved back into garden and painted black.

Very attractive Street sign stays as is.

Might be good to keep most of garden about 3 feet high max.

Business Direction signs probably would be less cluttering yet visible enough if placed on Pizza building corner. (to the right).
Garden is so attractive and nice one would hope overall signage could be coordinated to blend in as much as possible. Another importantant consideration with garden is that most of it is low enough to maintain the viewshed. That not only for people watching and all the pretty shops but also so cars on Rock City Road don't have to drive out into cross walk to see if it is clear to turn onto 212.

As to Parking / Restroom / Information sign, the ideal spot for people to make that turn is at the Landau Grill. A thoughfully designed attention getting sign at that location would ease the congestion at Rock City Road and minimize the need for signage on the Green.

If one organization has a sign on the Village Green most other organizations will feel that they have a right to a sign also. One can reasonably argue that if signs on the Village Green direct people to Rock City Road business, Tinker Street business also need mentioning therefore placing the shingles part way up Rock City Road greatly reduce the likleyhood of having to deal this unintended consequence.
